Our Staff

Sharon Rose, B.A.Ed., is the owner, director, and head teacher of Rose Blossom Nursery School. Sharon has a California teaching certificate qualifying her to supervise both preschool and school-age after school programs, and a California multiple-subject teaching certificate for ages preschool through adult education. Sharon has studied Nonviolent Communication with Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., and uses this training as a foundation for conflict resolution and classroom management at Rose Blossom School. Sharon has taught a wide range of subjects to both children and adults for almost thirty years, in both the public and private sectors. Sharon provides a consistent and caring social and academic environment, and brings to Rose Blossom School the creative arts of music, singing, creative drama, and storytelling.

Brooklynn Grube has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo, and is fully qualified and approved by licensing as an early childhood teacher. After graduating in 2005 Brook returned to her home town of Felton and worked for the City of Scotts Valley’s after school program. Upon hearing that Rose Blossom School was looking for a new teacher, Brooklynn came for an interview and decided to stay. She worked the school year 2006-2007, then took a leave to get married, and travel. She is back for the 2009–2010 school year! Brook loves children and enjoys their sense of discovery and passion about learning new things. She brings patience, love, and an understanding heart to share with us at Rose Blossom School.

Darlene Hall has an AA degree in Early Childhood Education from Cabrillo College, and has acquired her Master Teacher's permit in Early Childhood. During her time at Cabrillo College she was on the Student Teacher Advisory committee, and excelled in Science classes. She now has over ten years of experience teaching early childhood in the Santa Cruz area. Ms. Darlene brings her experience and knowledge of science, sewing, and early childhood together at Rose Blossom School, where she uses her skills to create science activities for the children, showers them with loving attention, and enjoys watching them grow.
