Blossoms: A newsletter for the family and friends of Rose Blossom Nursery School

March and April 2006

Dear Parents,

We are preparing for spring, with a new junior dome climbing structure on its way for the yard, a new bird bath, and bulbs already blooming in the garden. The lease is being signed for next year, and I am giving out registration forms, because families from the community are already touring and registering for the summer and fall, and current students should have first chance at enrollment. Graduation is June 15th, last day of school June 16th, summer session starts June 19th, and runs for six weeks, through July. We will be closed the month of August. If you know someone who wants to sublet the use of the school for the first four weeks of August, please let me know. Thank you!

—Sharon Rose, Director

I am sending out evaluation forms. We value your feedback. Thank you!

Time for a Healthy Fundraiser!

What is that, you say? It’s The Body Shop At Home Catalog, and Char Rocha will donate 60% of the profits to Rose Blossom School. Look in your child’s folders for the catalog and order forms. Thank you!

Juliet's Spring Celebration:

Juliet has scheduled her spring celebration with the children for April 5th and 6th. Look for sign up sheet!

Juliet brings music, movement, books, and things from the natural environment for the celebration.

Wish Lists

Happy Birthday!

March:

March 31, 2002 - Quinn Rocha

March 31, 2001 – Emma

We celebrate the children's birthdays at school with a "walk around the sun" for the number of years of the birthday, and we sing happy birthday. We also help the birthday boy or girl make a birthday crown, which he/she can wear all day, and especially for our ceremonial ritual.

If the family wants to bring a treat in to contribute to the school celebration, we ask that it not add too much sugar to their diet. We have noticed some creative ideas, like sliced fruit, mini quick bread muffins, and even party favors, like pencils or small bubbles.
